The warehouse knows things the project tracker does not.
It knows which kit actually came back. It knows which sign is damaged. It knows which shelf always gets searched first. It knows which item was bought twice because no one could find the original. It knows which producer remembers where everything is, and what happens when that producer is busy.
Most of that knowledge is not searchable.
This project explores turning warehouse memory into a digital model producers can use before a deadline becomes a scramble.

This project backs up 3D event space design, where rendered objects need production reality, and email gifting campaigns, where inventory, status, and follow-up have to stay synchronized.
The repeated job
A producer needs to know whether the team already has something: a sign, a prop, a scenic element, a tablet stand, a branded fixture, a cable kit, a printed asset, a display component, or a vendor-supplied item from a previous event.
The current path may involve a spreadsheet, a folder of photos, a warehouse walk, a Slack message, and a person who knows where things tend to live.
That works until the person is unavailable or the deadline is tight.
What the agent needs to know
The agent needs inventory records, shelf photos, kit groupings, event history, vendor documents, damage notes, return status, and location data.
It also needs uncertainty.
Warehouse data is often imperfect. An item may exist but not be verified. A photo may be stale. A kit may be split. A location may be approximate. A useful agent should surface confidence and route ambiguous items to a human check.
The workflow
The producer searches in plain language:
Do we have a freestanding sign frame that could work for a three-day retail activation?
The agent returns likely items, where they are, what project they came from, whether they appear complete, and what needs verification. It can also suggest reuse paths before the team buys again.
When the answer is unclear, the agent creates an exception rather than pretending the warehouse is cleaner than it is.
What gets measured
The first proof point is lost-item reduction.
The second proof point is search time: how long it takes a producer to find a usable answer.
The third proof point is avoided rebuying: how often the team reuses what already exists.
This concept should be evaluated by search time, item-location confidence, avoided rebuying, and the number of unresolved exceptions. Alderson should publish an outcome only after a measured deployment establishes a reliable baseline and comparison period.
Why this matters
Every experiential agency has margin hiding in the warehouse.
Some of it is in physical materials. Some of it is in vendor history. Some of it is in avoided rework. Some of it is in the senior operator who no longer has to answer the same location question all day.
